Bachseite (Backside) to Happy Valley (Off-Piste)
From the Cable Car or Chair Lift, No Walking or Sidestepping Required
1. Snow Conditions:
The snow remains soft and nice for an extended time, making this a great spot to practice your ski technique.
2. Avalanche Risk:
⚠️ Important: After heavy snowfall, this run is often closed due to self-releasing avalanches from the Schindlergrat side.
Comment:
Perfect for ski technique training in favorable conditions, but always check if the Staisbachtal (Happy Valley) run is open after fresh snow.
Route:
- Exit from the Galzig gondola and head toward Osthang, then continue to the Tanzboden chairlift.
- From there, pick your route down.
Additional Caution:
Be mindful of frozen snowballs near the piste. Snow groomers often push snow over the piste edge into the off-piste area, which can create hazards.
