Hinter Rendl / Backside of Rendl – St. Anton
Overview:
A beautiful, long off-piste run with often excellent snow conditions.
⚠️ Avalanche Risk: Be cautious after snowfall—avalanches can release from the top.
Access:
From the Riffel 2 chairlift, no walking is required. Traverse to the backside towards Hinter Rendl.
Route:
- In the center of the bowl, ski down about 300 vertical meters, then traverse through the rocky section on the right side.
- Continue down the valley toward a very obvious hill in the middle of Hinter Rendl. You can pass it on either the right or left side.
- Ski further down to two large avalanche dams.
- After the avalanche dams, ski along the left-hand side of the stream over a gentle slope.
- Near the bottom, you’ll encounter a steep mogul slope. After that, continue on the path back to St. Anton.
