St. Anton am Arlberg…

…is well known as one of the best ski resorts in the world and “Cradle of Alpine Skiing”. St. Anton is 1304 meters above the sea level. Valluga 2 ( 2811 m) is the highest cable car in the Arlberg ski resort.

 

 

 

1. How to get to St. Anton

By train – St. Anton is very easy to reach by train. Around 30 trains including the super fast “Rail Jet” from Innsbruck and Zuerich. From Innsbruck to St. Anton it takes 1 hour. From Zuerich to St. Anton it takes 2.20. The connection from both airports to the train station Zuerich and Innsbruck takes by taxi just a few minutes and with public transport approximately 30 minutes.

By car –  St. Anton is just five minutes away from the next highway. Most Hotels in St. Anton have there own parking lots.

By plane – Innsbruck Airport – 100 km, Zürich – 200 km, München – 250 km,Friedrichshafen – 130 km, Memmingen – 170 km

  • All slopes on Rendl (watch out the itinerary ski route from the Riffle 2 in the spring time – frozen hard moguls)
  • Kappal very top slopes

St. Antons best off piste

 

  • Valluga to Zuers
  • Schöngraben and Galzig after snow fall
  • Hinterrendl off piste (take care, above the off piste runs on Hinter Rendl north are very steep slopes – self releasing avalanches)
  • Amazing ski touring all over the place

To Ski to Ischgl from St. Anton you have to go over Rendl and Kreuzjochspitze or some other ski touring routes on the Rendl side.
